The opportunity
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our dedicated clinical team in a specialist ophthalmology setting. Working closely with ophthalmologists, orthoptists and clinical staff, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic assessments and contribute to the seamless delivery of patient care across our consulting clinics.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technician with a passion for healthcare and a commitment to excellence in clinical support.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and biometry.
- Ensure all assessments are performed accurately and in accordance with doctor protocols.
- Prepare patients for consultations and provide clear, compassionate support throughout the testing process.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment in accordance with clinical standards.
- Assist with general administrative or clinic flow duties as required.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

- Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or similar clinical role (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competence in the use of diagnostic equipment (training can be provided for the right candidate).
- A patient-first mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Ability to work well within a team in a busy clinical environment.
