The opportunity
We are currently seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our day surgery team. Scrub/scout experience is highly desirable.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and compassionate care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
In this role, you will:
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care with a strong focus on patient safety and surgical excellence.
- Perform scrub/scout duties and may need to support anaesthetic/recovery functions as needed.
- Liaise effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other theatre staff to ensure seamless case flow.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
- Actively contribute to a positive team culture and continuous improvement of clinical practices.

Forest Road Day Surgery is an accredited, state-of-the-art, purpose build facility, specialising in ophthalmic surgery.
Located within Hurstville's East Quarter development, our premises are architect-designed and fitted with the latest technology and equipment.
About you
We’re looking for a nurse who is calm under pressure, clinically confident, and passionate about delivering exceptional surgical care.
You will also bring:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience in a perioperative setting is essential (scrub/scout highly desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team.
- Commitment to infection control, WHS and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
